Auto Insurance Claims: Pro Review Board in P.A., medical claim, insurance co

Question
Richard, I requested a review board to look at my case again regarding my medical claim, because it was denied.  In the state of P.A. you have that right if you are denied.  My question is, who pays for the review?  Should that not be paid by your insurance co.?  My adjuster doesn't know.  And if they expect the doctor to do it, or a provider of services, not one of these persons would do it because it cost them money.  Providers of service are not going to go out on a limb for you if it is a cost to them.  What do you think?

Answer
Hi Cathy,

Unfortunately, I am not specifically familiar with the review process in PA. I would think that who ever you file for the review with would be able to tell you the process, the amount of any fees and who is required to pay them. I would think that since you are the one requesting the review that any fees required would have to be paid by you.

I hope this helps
