Auto Insurance Claims: Not at fault accident, claims supervisor, national database

Question
I recently found out that my insurance paid out money to the other person involved in the accident.  The issue is that even though the other person didn't stop at the intersection and I hit him, the national database view me at fault, while the insurance company view the other drive at fault for failing to stop.  Is there anything I should do about the issue above?  I have contacted my insurance company and they gave me a letter saying I was not at fault for anything, yet  other parts of the company don't see the same report and value the national database as law.

Any suggestions?

Answer
Hi Nick,
You can talk to a claims supervisor and have him change the code on the accident to "paid at the convenience of the insurance company".
This will remove any signs from the national database showing you as being at fault.  Also, keep control of the letter for the next 3 years.

I hope you find this information to be helpful.
