Auto Insurance Claims: Accident in a friends car, brand new car, wet ground

My friend just got a brand new car. I asked him if I could drive around for a bit. He agreed. While I was driving, i lost control on wet ground and hit a tree. I feel bad for him. It was all my fault. Who's insurance covers it?
I've researched a bit and im finding that it would be his as the primary. But i dont want him to have to suffer. I dont want his rates to rise. I want to claim all responsibility. Is there a way i can get my insurance to cover all the damage?

Hi Raul,

Auto insurance follows the car not the driver. It will be his insurance that will have to pay. You should offer to pay your friends deductible. If his premium is increased, you could offer to pay that as well but keep in mind that if the premium goes up it will stay that way for 3 years.
