Auto Insurance Claims: Classic Car loses brakes hits wall, rear quarter panel, clasic car

Question
My Clasic Car lost all brake functions the other day while in a parking lot. When I put it in gear it rolled back and hit a wall causing damage to the rear bumber and rear quarter panel. Is this coverd by my comprehensive insurance? There was no prior evidence of the brakes being bad. Will my deductibel cover all repairs to bring the car back to the state it was in before this happened?

Answer
Hi Michael,

The damage would be paid from your collision coverage and you would have to pay your deductible amount. You should take the vehicle to the body shop of your choice to get an estimate of the damage. Then you can decide if it is worth making a claim. If you do not have collision coverage on your policy then you will have to pay for the repairs on your own.

I hope this helps
