Auto body repair & detailing: Dodge van seat removal, rear bench seat, seat pockets

Question
I need to take out my seats (behind the driver and passenger) to haul some furniture.  I have figured out how to remove the rear bench seat, but the two second row bucket seats have me baffled.  Can you tell me how to remove them?

Answer
Hi Rebecca!....From the sounds of you being able to remove the rear bench seat, leads me to believe that your van, does not have a Stow and Go type seat system....If it did, all of the seats would retract into the floor....Therefore, not requiring removal....Providing it is a Caravan or Voyager, and not a full size van, the center 2 bucket seats will have 2 latch assemblies on each of the seats....Check underneath the seats at the rear, and you should be able to see 2 small black levers....One lever each for the right and left seat track....You should be able to lift the levers straight up, both at the same time, which will release the rear of the seat from the track....Once this is done, simply slide the seat assembly rearward, to release it from the front seat pockets....Hope this helps....If you have any problem, please write me back, and let me know the exact year, make and model of your van....I will be able to help you out further, as differences in seat assemblies vary from all of these variables....Thanks....Dave
