Auto body repair & detailing: 98 Yukon driver door wont open., 10mm socket, six inches

Question
Hi,
Am trying to fix problem with driver door.  Kids playing around with lock.  Now door won't open from outside.  Would like a drawing or picture of inside mechanism.

Answer
Pull the inside trim panel, on the inner panel, you will see two holes about an inch in diameter about six inches apart in the vicinity of you outside door handle. You will need a 10mm socket and extension to remove the two bolts holding the handle on. One bolt might be in the door jam on some models. After that, wiggle the out as far as you can so you can release the lock clip.
It's a poor design that GM used on their trucks from 88 to 98. If you need more, get back to me
