Question
Hi, ive just painted a trunk lid. Im a beginer painting in my garage.  I used PPG products. K36 primer, DP90LF sealer, (2)coats of DBC 9700 base, and (3)coats of DCU 2002 clear.  Being that i painted this in my garage i have specs of dirthere and there, no orange peel. How do i go about the whole wet sanding process and what products, tools do you suggest. Any advice will help. Thank you for your time.

Answer
first of all, welcome to the profession. Wet sanding does take some time to get good at it, you need to make sure you stay away from edges and corners and do not sand right up to moldings and handles, key lock and other things that the buffer won't be able to buff with ease. I recommend 3M wetordry 1500 sandpaper, soak in warm water with a drop of dish soap to help with gliding, use a durabliock or non marking sanding block or even a paint stick broken in 1/2 and sand the clar down until the dirt has disappeared. If you put on less than 2 heavy coats, becareful not to sand thru. When done, buff with a foam pad with rubbing coumpound and finish with a swirl mark remover. Good luck, please leeve feedback if this helps.
