Auto body repair & detailing: Auto detailing - tar removal, paint surfaces, paint overspray

Question
I have had a service offered to me to remove tar from my car's paint job using some kind of putty.  What is this putty and is it a good way to remove very small tar/sap splatters all over my car?

Answer
The putty is overspray clay and is very effective.  You can buy it at most auto parts stores and many places online.
Type Overspray Clay into Google.com and you'll see all about it.  Great for taking small sap fallout and of course paint overspray off the paint surfaces of your car.  Spray with a Quick Detailer type product, or just soapy water and rub away. Cost of the product is about 20-30 bucks. The service shouldn't be that expensive if it's fair.
Hope that helps,
