Auto body repair & detailing: Collision repairs, rear quarter panel, aftermarket suppliers

Question
I owned a 1984 GMC K-1500 4x4 shortbed pick-up truck. I was broadsided by a US Postal vehicle damaging the wheel well and rear quarter panel on the right side. I also had to replace the fuel tank, brackets, and straps as it ruptured during the collision. I was able to replace the fuel tank etc myself and have reciepts for such.
My problem: The Postal Service wants a written estimate to which I'm unable to obtain due to the age of the vehicle and nobody wants the job.
I would like to know if you could give me a rough estimate replacing the right rear quarter panel, body work involved including painting and labor. I can find the replacement parts through various aftermarket suppliers but have no knowledge as to the time and labor cost associated with it.
Thank you very much and its well appreciated I can assure you of that!

Answer
The labor amount For cutting off the old bedside and replacement with a new panel is 12.5 hrs. at $46.00 A hour and 3.5 hrs. refinish time at $46.00 a hour. And the labor amount for replacement of a fuel tank is 2.2 hrs. at $55.00 a hour mechanical rate. This reflects the labor rate of central Wisconsin. Hope this helps you!
