Auto body repair & detailing: 72 chevelle, weather striping, weather strip

Hay John,
I have a 72 chevelle that I am restoring I have been moving along steady with the body work in till I got to the trunk, the Trunk weather strip gutter is completely rusted out “where the weather striping sets into. I have been searching for some type of a skin to replace it with no luck. I don't think they make anything. I could rig something up, but I really want it to look professional. I am 23 and have restored a 70 chevelle in my teens with my farther, but I did not run into this problem with that car. I am pretty much stumped. I know it is a tough one but any help would be greatly appreciated.

thats a hard one we are not into restoring cars . one guy is doing a nova . i asked him he had the same thing. he made one with metal he bent up. and rivided to trunk edge. than bodyfilled it so it looked like it was there always. other than than sorry ..
