Auto body repair & detailing: Front bumper on 2005 Pontiac Vibe, pontiac vibe, eara

Question
I just picked up my new 2005 Vibe yesterday and today I found a place where somehow someone must have opened a door while parked parallel to the front bumper and made two indentions.  One is small, a crease caused by the edge of the door and the other is about a inch wide, where the door must have scrapped the bumper.  The paint is not damaged in anyway I can see, just the painted plastic is indented slightly, but very noticable in the light...especially when I just purchased it as my first new car in 5 years.  Is there anyway to repair this other than sanding and painting...any way to draw the plastic back outward...i.e. most heat, etc?  Can you please let me know.  The paint is Fusion Orange Metalic.  The damage is on a large, smooth flat to slightly rounded surface.  Thanks for any advice.

Answer
try using a hair dryer on the area. that is what wedo. keep it moving around te eara so the heat is not going straigt on the spot. see if it lifts it. let it cool by its self DO NOT COOL WITH WATER you will peel the paint. if tat don't work. check with your dealer themoulding sometimes comes in color. it easy to replace. or check with a local body shop. for a spot repair .its where they repair only that spot . you will never know it.. hope this helps you out..
