Auto body repair & detailing: Touch up of small spots, dennis thompson, inchs

I am buying a 1950 Cadillac to have some fun with and use as a driver, not a show car. It has a spot on the rear door about the size of a half dollar where the paint is peeling(I'm told it's original paint). Is it possible to touch up something like this  or must the whole door be painted?

you may be alble to get a spot repair done to it. . its where they repair only the area where it is damaged and a spot around it around 2 inchs. you will have to check with your local body shops.  but from the size you are telling me it should be no problem .. hope this helps
