Auto body repair & detailing: Paint, earl schieb paint, paint car

Question
I have a 15 year-old Toyota p/u. Engine's great-- body's 75%.  I want to keep it for a couple years more but thought I'd throw a Earl Schieb paint job (300.00) on it.

Do you think a cheaper paint job should last me a couple years? Any thing I should watch out for or mention?  

Lastly, without a protective coat of some type should I expect it to oxidize quickly...they "warranty" their work for 6 years.

try to find out what type of paint they use We use nothing butB.A.S.F. they give a lifetime warr. on there paint .granted we don't paint car's for 300.00 our min price for a small truck would be around 2000.00.
as far as protective coating ask how much it would be do put a second layer of clear on it. i would guess around 100.00 .. that would give you all you need .. hope this helped you
