Auto body repair & detailing: Door saging, brass bushings, chevy 3500 dually

Question
I have a 1997 Chevy 3500 dually pickup and my drivers side door seems to be saging. It hits the door striker when I shut the door and scrapes it so I have to shut it pretty hard to get it to close all the way. I have looked at the hinges and it doesn't look like they are adjustable. Can you tell me what causes this and how to fix it.

Answer
You have worn out pins and bushings in your door. You can buy them at any auto store. Chevys are noted for that the door is really heavy. Open the door about 5 inches and lift on the rear of the door,Moves up and down doesnt it. You must support the door with a floor jack while it is open and drive the pins out, one up one down. drive out old brass bushings with a punch. put your new bushings in then the pins. If you have oblonged your holes you will have to put oversised bushings in. now for the fun part if there is a spring that came out you will have to pry it back in with a pry bar but make sure you have saftey glasses on cause that spring might fly out and bite you.

           Hope this helps

P.S. KEEP YOUR DOOR BUSHINGS LUBRICATED ALLWAYS FOR THEY WONT WEAR OUT
