Car Alarms: 99 jeep grand cherokee wont start, jeep grand cherokee, grand cherokee

Question
my mechanic just put in a new engine into my jeep. after doing so the vehicle will not start on a consistent basis. when it will not start the cluster shows the security system symbol which I'm assuming means the system is activated and shutting down the starter, fuel pump, etc via the PCM. they have fought on it for a week now and no luck. i just bought the 4.99 disable diagram. will this work to shut off the OEM system and solve this problem. i will be putting in an after market alarm. thank you in advance.

Answer
Yes sir, it is what's needed to solve this if that is
the ONLY issue this Jeep is having.

I sent the relay application needed to turn off the "FACTORY/OEM" alarm
earlier. You need to follow through with it to be certain
this is your problem, and not something deeper.
But the alarm will be one less thing.

But yes, if trying to turn off the Jeep system,
this is how we do it.
