Car Alarms: clifford alarm, car alarm system, clifford alarm

I have a 1997 integra LS with an old clifford alarm. To be honest i don't even know what kind it is. It has two buttons. A lock/unlock and a panic i'm assuming that i've never been able to use. For one of my remotes the plastic that holds the remote on my keychain broke, so i switched it with the other remote which for whatever reason gives no response when i try to lock and unlock it. I've tried resetting the car alarm system, but it didn't seem to help. any ideas? thankss
