Car Alarms: 1999 Hyundai Elantra alarm, hyundai elantra, mirror adjustment

Question
Hi,
I just purchased a used 1999 Elantra that apparently has an alarm. The window sticker states that it is a Pursuit Alarm, also says- The Protector. There is a singal red light on the dash next to the mirror adjustment control. The dealer did not have a remote to go witht the car (they bought at an auction). I can not see any switches or controls for the alarm. My concern is that if it goes off what do I do??  Where can I find a replacement remote?

Thank you for your time! I know it is valuable, I used to answer questions about nutrition but could not find the time anymore!

Answer
You can start at www.AUDIOVOX.com to see if you can
locat the local Pursuit dealership so you can ID what
system you have exactly, then try to aquire new remotes.

Tip. It may turn out cheaper in the long run to remove
the older system to get a fresh start with brand ne transmitters,
and full knowledge of it's capabilities.

Makes for a better over all experience.

Good luck either way.
