Car Alarms: 1995 Mazda 929 Factory Alarm, 1995 mazda 929, mazda 929

Question
I have lost the remote for the car alarm. The problem is when I open driver's door with the key it sets it off and horn start beeping! There are only two ways to turn it off either disconnect the battery wire or open the passenger's door with the key opposite to driver's seat.

I took it to one installer and he told me that he can not disable it! He is saying that the central locking on driver's door is faulty. I am not so sure about it. Is there a way this can be disabled. I did not want to buy another remote as the cost is $450 plus!

Answer
Either get mazda to program another OEM remote to control it,
or see if it's after market by trying to locate a valet switch
to put it into override.

Look under the dash area for a button or,
a toggle switch. When you locate it, turn on the
ignition key, press and hold in the button (little
spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.=VALET/OVERIDE

Those are the choices I know of.
