Car Alarms: alarm not working, dome light delay, stereo shop

when i set my car alarm it sets but in a few seconds it just goes off

Answer
Usually means the alarm is "seeing" an open circuit.
Best idea is to look to see if there is a dome
light delay and if possible, turn it off.

Then take it to a car alarm shop to see if
you can turn off the "last door arming" feature,
and turn on the 1 minute until setting feature.

Either way, visit a local car alarm stereo shop
for an evaluation.
