Car Alarms: adding additional led to existing after market alarm, clifford model, keyless entry systems

Question
I have the Clifford Model 50.5x alarm on my 2008 chrysler 300 and i want to add an additional led scanner to it. The scanner has the RED, BLACK, and WHITE, wires and i was wondering if i could just tap into the the only existing led thats mounted right next to the steering wheel and if so, how? The existing led only has a red and blue wire and i want to know what the blue wire is for and the red one for?
