Car Alarms: 97 Camry alarm, alarmtek, wire colors

I would like to remove/uninstall the aftermarket alarm on my 97 Camry. I have read and attempted the disable instructions on this forum. I have been able to turn the alarm off, but still cannot start the car. I have verified a good battery and all pertinent fuses. Thank you,
