Car Alarms: Car alarm for Chevy S-10, car alarm, 10 mins

Question
 I unhooked my battery and when I went to re connect it the alarm went off and the truck wont start.
What can I do to get it to start back short of taking it to a gm garage??


Answer
You can attempt to put the key in the ignition,
turn it on to just before cranking and then leaving
it that way for 10 mins. After that,
some PASSLOCK systems will re learn the code
and allow for starting & module programming.
But if not, the system will need to be seen by
GM to reprogram the PASSLOCK system in your vehicle.
