Car Alarms: Problem with a windstar 2000 alarm, valet mode, dash area

QUESTION: Hi, I have a problem with my windstar 2000. This is the problem: When I active the alarm (I press Lock twice and a single chord confirm that i have done right). I suppose that the alarm is set and I have a secure car. But the alarm doesn't work. Why? cause I have done a test. I let the window down then I set the alarm (activated) and after a few minutes I lift up the secure and open the door then nothing happens, nothing, the alarm is not doing his job. Not sound,  not flashing lights, nothing. The control works fine, I have checked de FEM (I'm studying mechatronics), all is right but  the alarm doesn't activate once a door is open. Why should i do? any suggestion?

ANSWER: It appears from your expaination, that the
car alarm is in service mode.

Ok, try this.
Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, press and hold in the valet/overide
button, found under the dash area, usually to the
left of the leg drilled into a hidden away spot,
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area goes off, and the siren chirps twice.
(Your valet switch might be the toggle (on/off) type.
in this case, key on, flip switch in oposite direction,
key off.)

This should reset the alarm.

Just Repeat these steps to place it
back to valet mode.

That should do it.
Let me know what happens.

I will buy an alarm with 3 channels. I will try to install it by myself but I have a question.

How can I desactivate the original alarm? I don't wanna have problem with my new alarm.
Will I have some problem in the future?

ANSWER: When purchasing, remind the seller you need to disarm
the factory system so that they can provide you with
the procedure.

That's a bit of a problem here.
Because yours is a "FACTORY" or, OEM
(original Equipment Manufacturer) "alarm/security" system,
then the disabling procedure info for any given
specific vehicle is now deamed to be too sensitive to
