Car Alarms: Keypad entry with Viper 3202 alarm, ford f 250, support question

I have a 2004 Ford F-250 with keypad entry.  I've recently had a Viper 3202 alarm installed by the Big Box retailer.  Should I be able to use the keypad entry without setting off the alarm?
