Car Alarms: Factory Alarm? Alarm Affecting Keyless Programming?, remote transmitters, alarmtek

Question
I just bought an '01 Firebird V6 which has an alarm system and came with a Silencer keyless entry keyfob.  The alarm sounds whenever key is used to open the door, though can shut it off with the keyfob.  I've bought 2 factory remote keyfobs to replace Silencer; however, the doorlocks don't cycle (which would apparently indicate keyfob programming mode) even though I follow programming instructions. Does it appear that I have a factory alarm system?  If so, what do I do to prevent alarm upon keyed door opening?  If unable to tell if factory, how do I determine?  Would the alarm system/status affect programmability of factory keyfobs?  If not, then, assuming programming instructions have been followed, any guess as to why programming system wouldn't work? Thanks. Steve

Answer
THIS IS AN AUTOMATED RESPONSE TO
YOUR QUESTION ABOUT "REMOTE PROGRAMMING".

:>(
ooooop.
You have the wrong guy here!

I'm sorry if you did not see the note
I put on the ALL EXPERTS site , but
I do not provide remote transmitter
programming information here.

That's still true.
I really don't offer that assistance here.

But never fear!

As I said,
there are those that do this service online
that sell direct to the customer.

Try a site like www.keylessride.com.
www.keynfob.com , or www.remotes4you.com
as providing replacement remote transmitters
and programming them, is what they specialize in.
Or possibly the people you bought the replacement
transmitter you are trying to program.

They should help you with your purchase
I would think.

Good luck with it.
