Car Alarms: 1994 infiniti g20 security light, 1994 infiniti g20, valet mode

Question
QUESTION: how can i stop the security light from continuing on blinking. It seems that the factory alarm is malfunctioning and is cutting the power from the distributor and my cant wont start?

ANSWER: Please be more descriptive if possible.

"GOING OFF?"

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
(doubtfull since none of the notes show this
car as having a factory alarm system)=FACTORY

Or,

is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?= AFTER MARKET

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take.

QUESTION: well the headlights don't go on, it doesn't honk, but the security light just blinks non stop.

ANSWER: To try to disarm it,
look under the dash area for a button or,
a toggle switch. When you locate it, turn on the
ignition key, press and hold in the button (little
spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.=VALET/OVERIDE

This stops the alarm except for the keyless
entry if installed. The next step is to
either remove the alarm or, try to identify,
and get new remotes for it.

But once in Valet mode, it will allow the car
to start and operate like there was no
alarm at all. Repeat steps to put into user
mode.

Let me know how it goes.

QUESTION: I read this from another answer that you had given to another person. I wasn't able to find that little button. do you have a diagram that might show me where is at? sorry for the incovenience.

Answer
ok, not a problem.

Get out some basic install tools or get
a friend or a good technician
in there to do this.

Normally, you would insert the key in
the drivers door, turn left, then right
to disarm and reset it. Yours was reset.
Try key in the drivers door, turn left, then
right to diasrm and unlock. If no joy,
you can disable it for good by doing the
following:

The FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE IS
light green/yellow |-| at the theft warn mod.
The Theft Warning Module is located under
the dash, right of the steering column.

Once Located, splice into this wire with
a simular guage wire, and put it to
a solid chassis ground. This terminates
the OEM alarm functions entirely.

Let me know if it solves your issue.

Good luck.
