Car Alarms: 92 acura legend, acura legend, bose radio

Question
thanks, but that doesn't really tell me anything i didnt already know. again, is the the anti theft module the RED or the GOLD module??? the red module has a visible wiring harness (visible from below)....the gold module does not. do i need to remove the kick panel and maybe the wires go in from above the gold module??? again, the wire harness for the red module has several smaller green/red wires. do i leave them alone? the other harness (which is just hanging down connecting to a male wire harness) does that go up to the security module? there is only one fatter green/red wire on that harness. do you have a link to any line diagrams so i can get some bearings. i jusat dont want to spice into the wrong wire and short out this car's electrical system

-----Question-----
hi, my name is justin. im from philadelphia. i have a 92 acura legend. the alarm wont turn off when the battery is connected. i dont have the remote for it. i'm trying to disable the alarm system for good. I read your answer to a question asked in 2005 for pretty much the same problem. you said the anti theft module is located above the accerator next to the power door module and if i splice into the green/red wire and hook it to ground it disables the alarm system forever. i took a look at it and i need to know is the anti theft module the Red module or the gold metalic one? i think the gold metalic one has the word security on it but im not sure. Now, the red module has a visible wire harness on it with several green/red wires on it. the gold metallic module doesnt have a wire harness on it that i can see(without removing kick panel). however, there IS a wire harness coming down from behind the kick panel near the two modules. i think its a male harness that hooks to a female harness, then the wires split up....there is only one green wire on that harness, green with a red stripe....and it seems to be a little fatter than the other green/red wires on the red module. any help you can give me would be great...you seem to be the online authority when it comes to alarm systems. by the way its a factory system. thanks again ~justin

Please tell me what you are experiencing.

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Many veriables on this vehicle &
I Require a bit more imput please.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
Or,
is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take, to help you to fix this
situation you're in quickly.

You are correct Justin, the green/red wire is the negative
factory alarm disarm trigger |-| and it is located at
the anti-theft module.

The Door lock module and factory anti-theft are mounted
together between column and center console above
the accelerator pedal.

locate it, splice into it, ground it to the chassis,
and that's that. It will terminate all
OEM/Fctory security functions and alow the remote
start to work correctly. You can also use the starter
systems factory (-) disarm wire and retain the integrity
of the OEM alarm, but that of course, is up to you.

At this point, this car would be exceedingly
easy to steel, so finish up on the aftermarket
alarm system installation to protect it from
here on out.

Enjoy the game!:)

Answer
Wish I could help more, but I do not know what
color a module box is in a 92 accura.

Maybe a Chiltons manual might be
helpfull for that.

You can also try taking this to the forum moderator
at my site: www.INSTALLSUPPORT.com .
Murph will be able to
help a bit more on this I think.

Good luck.
