Car Alarms: Remote starter / alarm, pin switch, cold weather

Question
A 2004 Scion tlc with factory alarm and remote start, only in cold weather
when using the remote start, the alarm goes off! Been back to the dealer
many times! No problem found! Any help would be appreciated!!
              Thank you

Answer
Factory alarm systems usually only use pin switches to tell the alarm to sound.  This sounds to me like you may have a bad pin switch.  But if you have taken it to the dealer and they said nothing was wrong, I would have to think they would have checked that.

Try disconnecting the hood pin switch temporarily to see if it fixes the problem.

If disconnecting the pin does work, then take it back to the dealer and inform them of this.  If it does not work, I would head over to http://www.scionforums.com/ and post your question there.  I am sure someone there may have already experienced this problem.
