Car Alarms: 98 Altima alarm, remote starter, altima

Followup question 98 Altima alarm set, can't disable.: toggle /pushbutton switch nowhere under dash. WTF? I was under there 15+ minutes! Now what do I do?

The problem here is that the Altima does not
have a factory alarm. This means it does have
one now, an aftermarket system with starter kill.

All of these devices come with a valet overide.
A way to simply reset or, disable. You also
might have it as part of your LED in the dash,
or if it also is a remote starter, the antenna
may have a button in it that programs and
overides the system.

The valet, if under the dash type, may also be hidden
behind a plastic panel, tucked up in the
wiring, or not installed at all. If this
is the case, you will need to remove it,
and then repair the wiring.
