Car Alarms: Have 2004 F-150 and it seems..., 2004 f 150, keyless entry

Have 2004 F-150 and it seems that I have to be within 25 feet of the truck to activate the
factory alarm with the remote control.
Can the range be adjusted?

Nope sorry, the factory remotes are
(if you will excuse the expression) crap.
Surprised that you are getting 25 feet!
And there is no way to upgrade or adjust.

If you want to simply replace them with a decent
aftermarket keyless entry, you are looking
at 40. to 50. dollars. A full alarm for just
a bit more. If you want to see what
