Car Stereos: Factory wire color codes, chrysler pt cruiser, boston acoustics

I have a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser and would like to install a High-low level line converter on the factory head unit.  How do I find the color codes for the factory radio wires.  All of the color codes I seem to find it for the after market.  Please help!!!

Sorry about the delay in answering this question.

My favorite reference for factory wire colors is the support section at Crutchfield.com.  They provide wire colors, factory plug pin-outs, and lots of other useful information for a wide range of vehicles.

Here's what they have on file for your PT Cruiser:

Left front (+): gray
left front (-): gray/yellow
right front (+): green
right front (-): green/yellow
left rear (+): green/tan
left rear (-): gray/green
right rear (+): black/green
right rear (-): yellow/gray

This assumes that your vehicle is not equipped with the optional Boston Acoustics sound package.  If you do have the Boston Acoustics system, you won't be able to tap your line output converter at the back of the factory head unit; you'll need to find the speaker wires after they leave the factory amplifier.  Unfortunately, I do not have any information available regarding the Boston Acoustics-equipped PT Cruiser.
