Tips on Buying Cars: Used Car purchase, finance manager, finance company

Question
I have been dealing with the same dealership for over 10 years.  I have loved working with them in the past, but this last purchase was a disaster.
First, I bought a used car and was told I would take it home that night.  An hour after the contract was signed I still didn't have the car and was told it would be a day.  I tried to pickup the car on at least 5 different days only to be told it wasn't ready.. When I asked what was wrong with the car .. the salesperson indicated he would find out and let me know.. that never happened.

I phoned over a dozen times and left voicemails only to not be returned.  Yesterday, I called the in house finance company .. the finance manager from the dealership got on the call and promised me a conference call today.. and again that didn't happen.

I left yet another voicemail for the finance manager - and still no response.
so much for a valued customer feeling.

Answer
Susan,

Thanks for your question.  I am confused as to what your question is.  It sounds like something is either wrong with the car or something.  They aren't telling you everything.  Understand that you are not the LEGAL owner of this vehicle until you take posession of that vehicle, so you have every right to back out of the purchase entirely.

If this isn't your question, please respond with your question and I will do my best to answer it.

Thanks - JB
