Car Stereos: Amp want turn off, chevy monte carlo, line switch

I installed an amp to my factor radio on my 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo and when I turn the car off the amp stays on.  I think I have the remote wire on the wrong color wire.  What should I do to fix this because I am tired of taken the fuse out every time a stop and park.

Hi Phillip,

This means you've used a 12V constant wire as an accessory wire on the amp.

Your options are to either move the remote wire from that wire onto an accessory wire (any where that loses 12V power when the car is off), or wire an in-line switch you can flip off inside the car to enable/disable the amplifier.
