Car Stereos: cadillac sedan door removal, cadillac sedan deville, front doors

Question
I own a 1994 Cadillac Sedan Devile "4.9L v8" and am wanting to remove my front doors to get to the 5.25" speaker and tweeter. So my question is how do I remove the front doors on a 1994 cadillac sedan deville 4.9L v8 ? And if possible does the door require to be taken off for the stock speaker and tweeter to be replaced ?

Thanks, Jason

Answer
Hi Jason,

Yes, you'll need to remove the door panels to get the 5 1/4" out at least.  The tweeters you might be able to get at without it.

Unfortunately, I don't know the '94 Cadillac very well, so instructions on removing the panel is something I wouldn't know off-hand.

Door panels are generally held on with screws and clips.  First, you'd remove any trim, covers, handles, etc, by locating their screws.  Then you'd pop out any clips holding it in place (there's usually some on the sides of the panel and/or underneath.  Then the door panels generally come up and away from the door.

Good luck,
Justin
