Car Stereos: Taking my aftermarket radio out., pioneer radio, stock radio

Question
Hi there, I had circuit city install a pioneer cd unit into my dash to replace the stock radio. I now want to take out the pioneer for a minute because I am installing an amp system and need to get to the remote and get the rca wires to the back of the cd player. I have no clue how to take out the pioneer radio...can I have some help? I really appreciate it.

Answer
Hi Zach.

Sorry for the delay man, we have been so busy at the shop you wont believe me, alright take a peek inside the original box where the radio came (the pioneer one) there should be 2 metal stripes inside a little plastic bag along with some screws and a little black cap, we call them keys. insert one on each side on the radio but first take the little rectangular trim that goes around the radio ( this is real fragil so try not to overstress it or you will brake it), you will be able to see where these keys go in, they go in between the "cage" (a rectangular piece that holds the radio in place) and the radio, make sure that the bent side its towards you and the left side goes pointing the driver's side, and the right side goes pointing the passengers, insert them deep until you hear a cliCK noise then pull them straight towards you.
And thats it.

Good Luck!.
