Car Stereos: Install of Pioneer DEH-P7900BT Deck, chevy tahoe, pioneer stereo

Question
Hi Ed I recently installed a Pioneer stereo in my 2000 Chevy Tahoe. I used the wiring kit that splices the wiring from my Pioneer to the factory plug on the Chevy. Everything works great except the speakers in the rear passenger doors. The speakers in the cargo area at the extreme rear of this vehicle work fine. I double checked the connections on my wiring kit and see no wires disconnected. The colors of the wires to the speakers in the rear doors are not in the dash behind the head unit. Can you help me with this problem?

Answer
Hi Scott.

are you sure you connected the blue/white wire to the Blue/White Wire on your radio?.

See those vehicles come with a factory pre amp. sometimes all speakers are amplified or sometimes just 1, 2 or 4.
in order for those speakers to play you need to send the turn on signal to these amplifiers, wich it would be the blue/white wire.

Regards.

Ed.
