Car Stereos: Custom holding for aftermarket stereo in Cadillac, cadillac eldorado, wiring harnesses

Question
I have a 1995 Cadillac Eldorado. I am looking to put in an aftermarket "deck", or faceplate in place of the factory Radio/CD player. My current speakers are good-- so I won't need to install those. However, I have heard that I will need a special "installation kit", as the shape of the radio area will not fit most decks.
What exactly does this mean?
Is it easy to install? (for an average skilled installer)
How does it look?

Thank you for your time,
Niki

Answer
Hi Niki,
Yes you heard right, there are aftermarket dash kits and harness adaptors that will not only facilitate a clean look, but also prevent you from having to cut any factory wiring harnesses up. You can pick those up at any car stereo outlet in your area or go to www.crutchfield.com to order them online.
