Car Stereos: Adding amp to factory deck in Pontiac G6, pontiac g6, fuse box

Question
Hi, i bought a convertor to hook into the rear speakers to power the amp. everything turned out well except I cannot find the ACC wire for the remote, only found one power wire which is the constent (if thats right) that stays on all the time, memory wire i guess it'd be called. I tested all the wires in the harness and cannot find another like the ignition so the amp will turn on and off with the key. Any help would be greatly appriciated. 2007 Pontiac G6

Answer
Hi Eric.

i ussually get the remote wire from the fuse box. there Must be at least one with 12 volts switched. just make sure (this is important), that the fuse you choose it has power all the time. see on newer vehicles there is fuses that have delayed power ej. dome lights etc. so youll only have a momentary 12 volts then it would be degrading till 0 volts. use a volt meter to test this make sure it alwayz reads 12 volts (when key its on).

hope this helps.

by the way i love those cars :) even more when they are supercharged :P

best regards.
