Car Upholstery: Did Sunroof Create Wet Extended Cab?, ford f 150, sun visor

Question
Hello Mark,

We've had about 72 hrs of off-and-on rain here in Milwaukee, and I let my 98 Ford F-150 4x4 sit for about the entire time. When I got in this morning, the area in the extended cab between the roof, and the back window was pretty wet, as well as the passengers sun visor, and some of the upholstery on the roof above the passenger door. As I drove to work, everything worked other than the Air conditioning, and the cruise control (sunroof opening and closing seems to work just fine). Do you think something got shorted? Worse?

And one more question Mark; what is your suggestion for getting rid of moisture? The truck is too tall to put into the garage, and I have taken up as much moisture as I can with towels. And already, that truck is getting pretty musty!

I really look forward to hearing from an expert.

Thanks for your time Mark,

Andrew Grosman

Answer
The sunroof might not have been closed completely or a seal might not have seated. Also, check the door seals. Check the fuses first. It sounds like a sunroof leak. I repair and replace upholstery. Check with a professional cleaner on the best way to dry the interior. Mark.
