BMW Repair: IAT sensor, airflow meter, bmw320i

2003 BMW320i  2002build. I want to locate the Input Air Temperature Sensor. any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hello Paul,
First remove the main upper engine cover, then the intake manifold cover, the IAT is in the middle area of  intake manifold just as it joins the cylinder head. It is a black sensor with 2 wires.
In some newer cars, there is no more separate IAT. It is built-in into the MAF(airflow meter).
