BMW Repair: dash pad removal, radio setup, pad removal

I recently purchased an 1993 318i with an aftermarket cd player installed that doesn't work how can I get the dash apart to remove the unit and install a new unit? thanks

Howdy Chuck!
The original radio has 2 tiny screws left and right which holds it in place. After unscrewing them, you just pull out the unit and remove.
So I hope that the aftermarket CD player is installed as simple as that. But your guess is as good as mine.
Usually you do not have to do a drastic thing like removing the dash just for a radio setup.
Try prying off and removing with a small screwdriver the storing partition below the radio, then you can see what is what.
