BMW Repair: Air Conditioning Display, climate control, control computer

I have a 1997, 318i sedan and a couple days ago the digital air conditioning/ heating disply completely went off.  No lights will display and no air will blow through the system.  It randomly cut back on yesterday for about 10 minutes and then went off again when i restarted the car.  I think it may be the fuse, but am having trouble figuring out what needs replacement.  Thank you.

Margie, The climate control computer has failed. You can either replace it or repair it. Replacement will require dealership coding of the new module. If you wish to attempt to repair it please view www.macadamizer.com/bmwfix.html. for instructions on how to replace the failed capacitor.
