BMW Repair: X5 trouble codes, scan tool, instrument panel

Dear Mr Evan I have a Shop in Costa Rica ,We have a X5 01 4.4 v8 A/T European version.
It shows in the display of instrument panel,2 messages;trans fail safe program and engine fail safe program . The scan tool says (in transmicion)129 can bus time out with DME  and (ABS): 59 can circuit open for DME.We don't have information in our Mitchell fo those codes.thank you very much for any help.Einar
