BMW Repair: 1993 BMW 525 automatic transmission, bmw 525, d mode

Question
HI Don,

I recently had my transmission rebuilt in my 1993 525, currently it is very sluggish in drive (D)mode. This is sporatic and have replaced the O2 sensor. I have been told of the possibility of my DME needing to be replaced....I have a new fuel pump and relay also....she's a good car and plan on keeping her....

Answer
Replacement of the O2 sensor won't cause the car to be sluggush although if it was a DME problem it would.I would have the system serviced as sprak plugs ,fuel filters and the thottle plates being dirty will cause many kinds of problems.I would have the thought of a DME replacement way back in my mind as they just don't go bad.
