BMW Repair: Recall on fuel pump relay, fuel pump relay, bmw 733i

Was there a recall on fuel pump relays? I have a 1983 BMW 733i and having problems with the fuel pump.

Hi there,

The earliest I can check back is to 1984 where there was only one recall for the entire 7 series and that was to do with the braking system and allied switches. this recall was initiated in January of 1984 so presumably would have affected your car. so, in a nutshell, it doesn't look like it. Throughout the E23's life I cannot trace a recall on fuel pump relays either. will investigate more if required and get back to you.

PS.. have you tried to bridge the relay?
