GMC Repair: power steering pump, yukon denali, power steering pump

Question
Is there a trick to getting the pump out(02 yukon Denali) got all mounting bolts out and rear support bracket loose. Do I need to remove line from back of pump? thanks HOWIE

Answer
Most P/S pumps require that the PULLEY be removed from the pump as there are usually bolts located BEHIND the pulley and the pulley requires SPECIAL TOOLS to REMOVE/INSTALL the pulley. If you do NOT use the appropriate tools you WILL bend the pulley.
