GMC Repair: GEE Tracker warning light, reputable facility, web postings

My 1997 Geo tracker:  The "service engine soon"light keeps coming on. The vehicle has only 32,000 miles and it had only 17,000 when I got it a year ago. I have kept up with all scheduled maintenance reccomendations.I have had this problem almost from the start. Sometimes just filling the gas tank will make it go off, sometimes the outside temperature seems to trigger it.Is there anything I can do to turn this thing off? it is driving me crazy. From what I have seen on other web postings this is a fairly common problem with the GEO, but I haven't seen any soulutions. Thanks

When the CHECK ENGINE light illuminates, There are hundreds of possible causes. You will have to have a reputable facility identify the SPECIFIC CODE # that is causing the light to illuminate before we can go with any type of repairs.
