Alfa Romeo Repair: gtv6 clutch fork, clutch forks, clutch fork

Question
I have a 1986 GTV6. I am working on it in my garage so I don't have much room to work in. My clutch was banging terrably and wouldn't shift inti reverse. I took the clutch for out to see if it was badly worn. It wasn't, but now I can't get it back into the car. Can you help?

Answer
What does "banging terribly" mean. Could you possibly be mistaking a worn guibo joint for the problem.  Also, did
you manage to take out the fork without removing the clutch
housing?  Disconnect the front of the de Dion setup and then
remove the clutch assembly from the transaxle. For this you
need a manual or cd rom. (International Auto Parts has a good
cd rom).  Also, look again--bent clutch forks can be hard to
evaluate.
