Audio Systems: Jammed CD player, Volvo 850, volvo 850 glt, volvo 850

I have a a factory installed CD/Cassette deck in my Volvo 850 GLT '95.  It was working fine, without any hint of a problem, up until the other day, when it stopped accepting any cds.  You can force the CD in at which point it will eject it, but that's the most luck I've had.  It goes in about 1/2 way without a problem...once it hits that point it feels like it hits something.  Any suggestions?

The problem may be that the deck has a broken part and it is causing a mechanical misalignment problem. The only sure way to see what the problem is would be to take the unit out of the dash and take off the cover to SEE what is jamming up the deck assembly.
