Audio Systems: Hey bud i dont know much..., electronic failure, car stereos

Hey bud i don't know much about car stereos but i have a lanzar vbd300 and when i put the cd in it plays for a couple of seconds then it spits the cd out and gives me a "er 8" message, what gives?

 look in your lanzar owners manual they usually have a list of what the codes mean then you can go from there , if the diagram gives you something like " electronic failure" ect.. it means the unit has an internal short or some other eletronic problem and usually means its junk and have to buy a replacement .. now if you dont have the owners manual you can do a little research on the web and look at Lanzar homepage they should have downloadable manuals... hope this helps you out
